Welcome to the web site of Cardiff, Vale and Valleys Beekeepers’ Association.
We are based in Cardiff but draw our members from Cardiff, Newport, Caerphilly, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Barry, including further afield.

We are a friendly association of approximately 150 (and growing) members, most of whom keep bees, promoting the craft of bee keeping and the benefits of products from the hive.

We meet in Llandaff Village hall on the second Tuesday of every month from September to April and have meetings during the summer months at members’ apiary sites.

We now run an annual course for new bee keepers as an evening/ weekend class. This is followed up with practical sessions at our training apiary in Dyffryn Gardens.

We are also affiliated to the Welsh Bee Keepers Association; as such we are able to offer members many benefits including insurance for beekeeping activities.

Please take time to browse the web site and if you need any more information or are interested in keeping bees please e-mail one of the contacts that are given.
